Shanghai Bun

May 12, 2008

I just tried their steamed dumplings and vegetables and tofu soup.  Nothing to write home about, really.  In fact, I’ve had better.  I guess it’s the Dim Sum that really sets them apart, eh?

  1. Strange place I have had hits and misses. When I order it is always take out and I stick with the noodle dishes they seem to be their specialty. Two that come to mind are Mixed Meat Noodles, not a great name, and Noodles with Shredded Cucumber this one is a little spicy but well done. On the dumpling side the Tender Leek Dumplings are excellent.
Just a note every time I have called in an order they have never gotten it correct, but they don’t seem too concerned about it and I keep going back.
Shanghai Bun probably deserves another try just don’t expect to be pampered.
