Cat killer in Aberdeen

This story breaks my heart.  I hope that bastard gets life in prison if the allegations are true!

  1. It is a heartbreaking story and I would be crushed to learn I had surrendered an animal to such a one. I have lost pets to cars, other animals, and to cruel people (those that kick, those that poison, and vets who are not diligent)… so I am not unfamiliar with the pain my neighbors are feeling.

However, hurting this man is not going to fix anything. People who hurt animals have been hurt themselves in a big way. They hold to deep self-hatred and blinding shame. This man needs rehabilitation, healing, and somehow, compassion. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs, and the victims of his crimes find a way to redeem their pain through the comfort and compassion of their Higher Power.

Should we have to be licensed to own an animal? I hope it doesn’t come to that because the cost of such a program would be prohibitive for many people.

I guess the more you care for people’s needs the more you inevitably help the animals.
